4ThePlayer is one of the newest companies to emerge in the online gambling world, and the company is the brainchild of Andrew Porter and Chris Ash. Both seasoned online gambling ‘veterans’, Chris Ash was the “Ash” behind Ash Gaming - a successful UK-based iGaming company who were eventually acquired by Playtech.

Andrew also worked at Ash Gaming as Head of Product and Math, before becoming Casino Content Director for Playtech. Soon after creation, Henry McLean joined the team; he also worked at Ash Gaming, running the marketing department.

While 4ThePlayer was only established in 2018, they’ve managed to build a significant amount of “hype” around their games. By interacting with the Casinomeister community, they’ve shown they’re responsive to players - and this is key, especially in today’s fast-paced and competitive iGaming industry where new developers appear all the time.

You can read an interview with their Marketing Director Henry McLean.

Currently, 4ThePlayer hold a valid online gambling license with the UK’s Gambling Commission, but their games are available in a number of other regulated markets including Sweden, Spain and Italy thanks to partnerships with other platforms.

All of 4ThePlayer’s games are developed with mobile users in mind, and they use HTML5 technology to ensure cross-platform compatibility.

With a combined 50 years of experience in the online gambling industry, the software provider have a solid understanding of what players want, and if their games can build a following, it’s likely we’ll see portfolio appearing at a number of established online casinos.

In this 4ThePlayer software review, we’re going to be taking a look at some of the games the game developer are releasing. We’ll also be taking a look at where their games are running, along with some company details and pros and cons.

Software Platform

4ThePlayer will be distributing their games through a number of platforms. This includes Relax’s Silver Bullet platform, Yggdrasil’s “Masters” platform and SG Digital NYX. This varied selection of platforms ensures their games will be available to as many players as possible, and we’re pleased to see that they’ve opted to go with well-established, reputable platform providers.

Games

At the time of writing (November 12th, 2019) 4ThePlayer have only released one game. However, they have many titles in the pipeline, and their next games are scheduled for release on the 14th of November and the 11th December 2019. Below, we’re going to be taking a look at their one currently-released game along with their two upcoming releases for this year.

9K Yeti
9K Yeti is 4ThePlayer’s debut slot, and it’s built around a 4096-ways-to-win format. The game’s set on Mount Everest, and promises to be a volatile experience where players can win up to 9,000X their stake. (Interestingly, Mount Everest is 9,000 metres high.)

There’s plenty to look forward to in the game, and the main bonus round is a traditional free-spins round - with an untraditional mechanic. Triggered by landing the scatter symbols anywhere in view, players can begin the bonus with up to 88 free-spins.

It’s also possible to re-trigger the feature, with a whopping 880 spins up for grabs. (It’s a shame you don’t start with nine thousand spins!)

During the bonus, any losing spin that contains the top-paying Yeti and Everest symbol will trigger the “snowstorm” feature. This shuffles all of the game’s symbols around, to form a guaranteed win. The more Yeti symbols in view, the better - and it’s fair to say this is where the game’s main win-potential can be found.

That being said, (as seen in Dunnover’s review of the game) there is also big win-potential during the base-game.

100 Bit Dice

Over the past few years we’ve seen a large number of crypto games appear in the iGaming market. While 100 Bit Dice isn’t a video slot, so to speak, it offers up interesting gameplay. It’s based on a similar game - Satoshi Dice - and it’s super simple and exciting to play.

All the player needs to do is select their stake using the easy-to-use bet slider and choose their bet. The dice are then rolled using a state-of-the-art RNG, and if the player’s made a winning bet they win - it’s simple.

The game also offers up some advanced customisation and strategy options - both of which will appeal to the more seasoned gambler.

1 Left Alive
1 Left Alive will be 4ThePlayer’s third release, and it’s a video slot based around zombies. The game offers an RTP of 97%, and follows a vivrant, strong-willed female character - the Lone Survivor.

The game utilises a brand-new game mechanic called “Plus+Ways”. This allows for added wilds, stacked wilds and a more action-packed bonus round when compared against conventional slots.

The main bonus round in 1 Left Alive is a free-spins feature. Once activated, you can choose one of four zombies. The zombie you pick then becomes a special wild during the bonus - and if you land the Lone Survivor symbol in view, your chosen zombie will turn into a “Bloody Wild” which then slides down the reels, leaving wilds in its track.

Players can also re-trigger the feature, and it’s possible to win up to 500 free-spins. A great game for zombie lovers - and with an RTP of 97%, we expect players to be able to enjoy some serious play time here.

Big Reel Portrait ModeTM

This isn’t a game - but we feel it’s worth mentioning, as it’s one of the key parts of 4ThePlayer’s mission. This new innovation uses up to 70% more of the game screen for mobile users.

Typically, only 20% of the screen is used, so it should allow for a more engaging, visual gaming experience.
